Steve Palmer
Palmer was one half of the Palmer and Page partnership during his tenure at the club. Steve Palmer was inspirational for Watford during the 1998-99 season and the play offs, which ultimately earned Watford a position in the premiership. Palmers relished his premiership experience, appearing in every single match. Palmer is also a great utility player, who has played for Watford in every position of the field. His spell at Watford lasted five seasons leaving towards the end of 2001.

Alec Chamberlin

Chamberlin began his career in goal for Colchester in 1981 and went on to spend five seasons at the club. He later on moved to Luton Town in 1988, a club he played for on 138 occasions, including a league cup final. Chamberlin moved to Watfrod at the start of the 1996-97 season and is still at the club to this present day. In total he has notched up over 250 appearances for the club. He played a vital role in goal for Watford during the double promotion year of 98 and 99. He is currently the oldest player now playing in the Premier League.

Paul Robinson

Robinson is a product of the Watford youth set up and came through the ranks to make a huge impression at the club. He made his debut for Watford in the year 1997 against Luton Town in a league match at his favoured left back position. He helped Watford gain promotion to the premierships via the play offs in the 1998-99 season and soon became a favourite with the supporters. He later on moved to West Brom and was very much at the heart of their team during their two seasons in the premiership. His ‘never say die’ attitude installs him as a favourite with the fans.

Heidar Helguson

Helguson moved to Watford from Icelandic club, Lillestrom, during the mid stages of the 1999-2000 premiership campaign. He was a star forward who also represented his nation, Iceland, on the international stage. Through out his five year spell at the club, he made a dramatic impact. He won the accolade of ‘Watford player of the season’ between 2004 and 2005. In the mid stages of 2005 he moved on to play for Fulham, a club he is presently at.
