Roger Joslyn

Joslyn moved to Watford in time for the start of the 1974-75 season and he made a huge impact immediately at the club. He was an integral part of the Watford team that won promotion in two successive seasons, between 1977 and 1979. In total he spent six seasons at the club.

Ian Bolton

Graham Taylor paid Ian Bolton the biggest complement by saying that he was the best signing that he ever made during his managerial career. Bolton’s outstanding displays during his five year spell at the club helped carry Watford from the forth to the first division during that amazing period for the club. Bolton’s strengths lied with his accurate passing and shooting. In total he spent six seasons playing for the club playing in his central defensive position.

Steve Sherwood

Sherwood moved to Watford at the start of the 1977-78 season and became a big a big hit in goal for the club during his successful era at the club. He kept many clean sheets which helped Watford gain promotion from the forth to the first division. He was one of the most consistent goal keepers in English football. He was ever present in goal for Watford during the 1981-82 promotion winning season to the first division. He helped the Hornets reach an incredible second place in the first division at the end of the 1982-83 campaign. He was in goal for Watford in the 1984 FA Cup final against Everton.
