Duncan Welbourne

Welbourne was arguably one of the greatest ever left backs to have played for Watford FC. He made his league debut in the year 1963 for Watford and soon became a permanent fixture in the side. In total, he made a staggering 457 appearances for the club and this included a record of 280 matches he played in succession during his spell there. He spent eleven blistering seasons with Watford and was arguably their key player during the 1968-1969 promotion campaign.
